A Letter From Our Team
Hey folks!
We’re looking forward to ECCC 2025, and the team’s hard at work building another great event for you.
Each year we send out a survey after the show to help us improve and make sure we’re bringing the creators, authors, exhibitors, show features, and guests that you want to see.
Bigger Autographing and Photo Ops Space
Woof. It was too cramped, which made it feel too hectic, and the whole space felt like an ouroboros of lines. Not up to our standards at all and not a good time.
We’re expanding Autographing and Photo Ops across the 4EF halls in the Arch building at Seattle Convention Center and down into 4C (for those of you that don’t live in a floorplan, we’re more than doubling the space).
We’re also going to separate Photo Op purchasing from the Photo Ops area to help ease confusing lines. And on the topic of lines, throughout Autographing and Photo Ops, we’ll have ADA and VIP fast-pass lanes that are dedicated fully to those fans.
Main Stage Move and Reservations
Being incredibly excited for a panel, only to show up and learn it was full 45 minutes ago is genuinely the worst, and it happened a lot last year. The line to get into the Main Stage was too much for that area of the building too, resulting in another hectic space for all of us. We’re doing two big things to fix this:
- Relocating Main Stage into the Arch building, Level 4 (longtime ECCC fans are feeling some nostalgia right now)
- Implementing free reservations on all Main Stage panels this year, which also means we’ll be clearing the room after each panel
We’re excited to share more in the coming months about reservations: when they’re launching, how to participate, and what this means for standby lines. All you need to know for now is reservations are free and included with your ECCC ticket.
Those are the two huge changes, but we’re also working on a lot of littler things: relocating The Tavern into a larger space and expanding programming and gaming in there, working closely with our partners at the Seattle Convention Center to add more diverse and delicious food options, more seating spaces, bringing back a longtime favorite ECCC event we haven’t had since 2019, and of course, more fun things for you to do while you’re with us.
Thanks for supporting our show and giving us a clear roadmap on how to keep creating the best pop culture event for you. Our goal is for you to stress less and enjoy more at ECCC and we can’t wait to see you in Seattle next March!
-Chris, Kristina, and the whole ECCC Team
